Look for your Putnam County HomeCare and Hospice team on television.  The agency has taped a television commercial with WLIO Lima.  We look forward to serving the residents of Putnam County in 2010.  Look for us on TV and ask for us by name. 

Putnam County Hospice would like to thank the local businesses and individuals for their generosity and support at the 13th annual Hospice Night Out held at the Ottawa K of C Hall on February 13th, 2010.  Many thanks to all for your continued support.  Thank you again for helping us to help others celebrate life. 

Putnam County HomeCare and Hospice Professional Advisory Committee once again sponsored their annual bake sale on the day before Thanksgiving.  Many wonderful baked goods were donated for this fundraiser which raised $525.00.  There was also a 50/50 drawing which brought in a total of $1,082.00.  Three winners were drawn to split the 50/50 ticket.  They were Louise Steffes, Jeff Ducey, and Columbus Grove Eagles who donated the winnings back to the agency.  The proceeds will benefit the various programs of Putnam County HomeCare & Hospice.  Thank you to all who made this fundraiser a success.  We are very fortunate to live in a community with so many caring people.  

Clara Settlemire has been named Putnam County HomeCare and Hospice Aide of the Year for 2009.  Clara was nominated by her peers and clients.  Clara has been an employee for 11 years and has demonstrated compassion and dedication to the clients she serves.  Her nomination was reviewed by the West Central Ohio Home Health Organization.  Clara has a willingness to serve, dedication to excellence and ability to implement personalized care.  Congratulations to Clara!!

Putnam County Hospice and Lima Memorial Hospital celebrate a one year anniversary of collaborative partnership.  This collaborative partnership has been a positive growth for our staff and the patients at LMH.  We encourage the celebration of life everyday.

Blood Pressure Clinics are held the first Wednesday of the month 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.  The Toenail Clinics are held every month 9:00 a.m. - 12 noon   Both clinics are at The Senior Center on 3rd St. in Ottawa.   If you want to set-up an appointment for toenail trimming, please call the Senior Center at 419-523-5593.       

Tawa Manor offers Blood Pressure checks the second Monday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
